It was exactly a year ago today that I first met up with Ellouise and Iain to discuss their wedding plans. They were very excited about their day which seemed at the time a long way off.
Fast forward a year to their wedding day July 26th- a day of pom poms, balloons and afternoon tea. My day started in Tiverton at the home of Ellouise's parents. Everyone was incredibly relaxed, still helping themselves to the homemade pancakes that had been freshly made that morning, and I was able to get some great shots of the preparations. Their dog had recently had puppies, they were gorgeous, wandering about the house in the chance search of any dropped pancakes!
The service was at Wilton Church in Taunton, and it was great to see Iain looking so calm and excited about the day ahead.
We had a great time taking the photographs after the service, stopping on the way to the reception at locations that Iain had scouted out on his trips to Clavelshay Barn. There was a lot of laughter and Ellouise and Iain were both incredibly at ease, they had plenty of ideas and a real vision for how the feel and look of the day should be.
Clavelshay Barn is a beautiful location for a reception and Ellouise and Iain had decorated the marquee and surrounding trees with colourful pom poms.
There were more photographs to take and then onto afternoon tea. We then moved onto the speeches that were funny and emotional in equal measure. All the guests were then asked to write a wish and were given a balloon each to release into the sky.
Congratulations to Ellouise and Iain, I really enjoyed being your photographer and working with you both to create such wonderful images that tell the story of your special day.
